Child Safety Standards
Qairros has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualization of minors, and any conduct that endangers children. These standards apply to all users, content, and interactions on the Qairros mobile application and related services worldwide.
Our commitment
We are committed to:
- Preventing CSAE on our platform through policy, technology, and human review
- Removing CSAE-related content and accounts quickly when identified
- Preserving evidence and reporting to appropriate authorities where required by law
- Cooperating with law enforcement and recognized child-protection organizations
- Continuously improving detection, reporting, and response processes
Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Qairros:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): any visual depiction, link, solicitation, or distribution of sexual content involving a minor
- Grooming: building trust with a minor to facilitate abuse, exploitation, or offline contact
- Sexualization of minors: sexual comments, imagery, or role-play involving anyone under 18, including fictional depictions presented as minors
- Exploitation and trafficking: recruiting, advertising, or facilitating the sexual exploitation or trafficking of children
- Endangerment: encouraging self-harm, abuse, or dangerous activity involving minors
- Impersonation and coercion: posing as a minor to solicit sexual content, or coercing minors to create or share imagery
Accounts that post, request, share, or facilitate any of the above may be permanently banned. We may report conduct to law enforcement and relevant child-safety organizations.
Age requirements
Qairros is not directed at children. Users must meet the minimum age required to use social services in their country (at least 13 years old, or higher where local law requires). We do not knowingly allow children below the applicable minimum age to create accounts.
If you believe a child under the minimum age is using Qairros, contact us immediately (see Reporting below).
Detection and prevention
We use a combination of technical and operational measures, including:
- Automated safety scanning on messages and other text for high-risk patterns, including child-safety violations
- User reporting tools on posts, reels, profiles, and messages so the community can flag harmful content
- Human moderation and trust & safety review for reported content and high-severity signals
- Account restrictions — including suspension and permanent removal — for policy violations and repeat abuse
- Rate limiting and abuse prevention to reduce spam, harassment, and coordinated harmful activity
We evaluate and expand our safety systems as threats evolve. No automated or manual process is perfect; we treat every credible report seriously.
Reporting CSAE
If you see content or behavior that may involve CSAE:
- In the app: use Report on the relevant post, reel, profile, or message. Choose the most accurate reason and add details if possible.
- By email: send an urgent report to support@qairros.com with the subject line CSAE report. Include links, usernames, timestamps, and a short description. Do not attach illegal imagery.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then notify us.
We prioritize CSAE reports for expedited review. Where we have sufficient information and legal obligation, we preserve relevant records and report to appropriate authorities.
Enforcement
When we confirm or reasonably suspect CSAE-related violations, we may:
- Remove content immediately
- Suspend or permanently terminate accounts
- Block devices or networks associated with abuse
- Restrict messaging, posting, or discovery features
- Preserve logs and metadata as permitted by law for investigation
- Notify law enforcement or child-protection hotlines where required or appropriate
We do not provide warnings for clear CSAE violations. Decisions may be final where safety requires it.
Cooperation with authorities
Qairros complies with applicable laws regarding child safety. When we identify CSAM or credible CSAE threats, we take steps consistent with legal requirements in the jurisdictions involved, which may include:
- Reporting to national or regional child-exploitation reporting centers
- Responding to valid legal process from law enforcement
- Preserving and disclosing information where legally compelled and proportionate
In the United States, reports involving CSAM may be submitted to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable. Users should also report to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org when appropriate.
Employee and contractor standards
Personnel with access to user data or moderation tools are expected to follow these standards, handle CSAE reports with care, and access data only as needed for safety, security, or legal compliance. Unauthorized access or misuse is grounds for termination and may be referred to authorities.
Related policies
These standards supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of conflict, child safety and legal obligations take precedence.
